New Arrival

The Kint family grew by one member at 5:20 am today -- little bit earlier than expected. Mommy was scheduled for a c-section at 11:00, but the little one couldn't wait that long. Mommy's water broke at about 5 after midnight, so we packed up and headed to Harrisburg. Darin Jeremy Kint was 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and 20 and 1/4th inches long. These pictures are not in chronological order, but seeing as how Daddy hasn't slept but an hour or two in the last 40, he is too tired to rearrange them.
Darin would be about 4-1/2 hours old here -- the first Mommy got to hold him (Mommy's hand with IV in the foreground)
This next one was taken by one of the nurses, still in the OR, the first Daddy got to hold him. Daddy's guessing he's about 10 minutes old or less at this point.
This was the first he really had his eyes open (other than when they put the gunky medicine stuff in). This was about 12:30, so he'd be 7 hours or so at this point.
Last, a picture to show his big hands and feet. This was right after they trimmed his cord, he's probably less than 5 minutes old here.
Also be sure to check out Pappy Leister's selction of photos from our little bundle of joy, here.
